We'd like to thank the little people...

Dave and I have been married 3 years. And yet it feels like my life never existed without him. We've had some pretty crazy (and adventurous) things happen to us in only 3 years. And our love is stronger than ever! But, we know, we can't take all the credit for ourselves. So here is a post to thank all the "little people" that have played a major or minor role in our marriage.

We'd like to thank: the states of Arizona and New Mexico for separating me from my husband for 3 months while he was working in California and I was in Texas. Those 3 months proved that absence truly does make the heart grow fonder.

We'd like to thank: the movies "Benjamin Button" and "Where the Wild Things Are" for being so gosh darn AWFUL that they've become an inside joke we will laugh about for years to come.

We'd like to thank: our Honda Shadow motorcycle for teaching me to always hold tight to Dave.


 We'd like to thank: Jamba Juice and Chipotle for being a constant comfort and support for us, especially when we just didn't feel like cooking.







We'd like to thank: our friend Lizzy for dropping in on our California home. Not only did it scare the crap out of Dana and give Dave something to laugh about, but Cage enjoyed the entertainment it brought as well.





We'd like to thank: the BYU Cougars and Kansas City Chiefs for giving us something to yell at together, instead of at each other.

We'd like to thank: Pacifiers for keeping Cage quiet for almost 2 years.

We'd like to thank: the stingray in the Bahamas that kissed Dave, so that he would forever appreciate how much better a kisser his wife is!




We'd like to thank: Travelzoo for having such great last minute deals, encouraging us to take spontaneous trips. Exhibit A- New York




We'd like to thank: all the spiders who dared enter into our home. They have helped me realize what a valuable asset Dave with his shoe are to my sanity.

We'd like to thank: our previous dog Bella for keeping us in shape. Her escapes from the house not only kept us running around, but triggered my labor with Cage.







We'd like to thank: our baby bouncer for saving our arms from falling off.







We'd like to thank: Oreo balls simply for existing so I could use them as an apology to patch up a fight we'd had.

We'd like to thank:: my nursing textbooks for having such grotesque pictures that Dave fully appreciates what I am willing to do for a career.

We'd like to thank: Dave's flight manuals for helping me to realize how incredibly intelligent my husband must be to understand those things!

We'd like to thank: the game of Scrabble for being a source of humility to us. Turns out, we can't make a word longer than 4 letters.


We'd like to thank: Pinterest for giving me thousands of recipes to keep my husband grateful at the dinner table.

And most of all we'd like to thank: Saltine crackers. Without you, Dave and I would not be.



Thank you, you've all been so good to us! We hope to see more of you (except maybe the spiders) in years to come!
